Same basic style as the standard Firenza, but with special droop snoot nose, and bootlid spoiler completed at Reliant, Tamworth. Special wheels, engine tuned to 131 bhp and a top speed of 114mph, with rally type ZF five speed gearbox.

The HP Firenza was known as the Droop Snoot Firenza owing to its sharply raked glass fibre front end, which was added to aid stability, and improve high speed aerodynamics.

The cars were built to FIA requirements, and were expensive against the economic climate of the time, the OPEC oil crisis of the 1970's and three day working week.

As part of the lauch twenty odd dealer sponsored HP Firenza's competed in a one off race with drivers of the calibre of Gerry marshall, Tony Lanfranchi, Barry Williams and other well known drivers of the time. A DTV (Dealer team Vauxhall) film of the event remains available on Video and DVD

MYC 656 P was built in 1975 and first registered on the 1st November, it has now had a total of 10 owners from Southampton to Fort William, It was restored in 2001and featured in the November 2001 edition of Practical Classics and has been with its present owners since2008.

Of the 204 original examples there is thought to be just 17 remaining on the road.
