follow the path

            somehow this photo speaks volumes, as in life and nature, following the path both for bikes and walks is the easier footing.....not always the best choice but sometimes it is better to let the non-path natural world be wild.....this is the forest near our home and the wildflowers are diminished, the heady scent of yarrow and clover less strong, the pine cones are beginning to be stripped as the wild animals prepare for fall and winter......it was very interesting to feel areas that were literally humid and warm after a bend in the path then there were warm and cold pockets of air as the sun set and the moon rose......when we returned home, the minute we left the dirt path in favor of the asphalt street......the temperature must have risen some 20 degrees.........nature it seems knows the petroleum laden paths are warmer globally than dirt!
