            Puzzly 638pc Ocean Life by James M Sommerville. This is the largest of the three sizes offered by Puzzly (638pc, 277pc or 136pc) featuring sea themed whimsies. An angled shot to highlight the cut. 

This cut has received much praise on facebook and it marked a significant advance in Puzzly's cuts and ambition. It was a brave image to take on, because there is already a superb Liberty version of the image and one by Nautilus as well. 

The whimsies are assured, interesting and completely appropriate. The big surprise is the large whale outline which fills the entire jigsaw. That outline is almost unconnected to surroundings pieces adding to the difficulty of the jigsaw and aligning sections. Some pieces had near duplicates. Many of the pieces are conventional with round knobs and straight sides, but there are a sprinkling of curved connectors too.

Frances spent more time than me on this jigsaw as I flitted between photography and working on my other jigsaws.
