The water feels so good on a sunny night - Ruddy Duck

            This male Ruddy was just waking up around the time the sun was going down. They are more active in the evening and tend to sleep most of the day. He was still flirting with the lady Ruddys before they both started looking for food and diving under water. 

The RUDU are in the family of stiff-tailed ducks, with spiky tail feathers that are often cocked high in the air. The name Ruddy is for the rust-red breeding plumage of the male.
