Flickriver

            A winter sunset as seen from the steps of the Opera House in Oslo, Norway.  Nothing like getting a nice little cloud bank to act as nature's own grad filter.

The object in the water at the front left is "She Lies", a sculpture constructed of stainless steel and glass panels by Monica Bonvicini. It is permanently installed on a concrete platform in the fjord adjacent to Opera House and floats on the water moving in response to tides and wind to create an ever-changing face to viewers. The ship at the back right is the daily ferry to Copenhagen.  And the land behind which the sun is setting is the island of Hovedøya.
