Poplar Cottage, Weald and Downland Museum

            Poplar Cottage originally stood at Washington, Near Steyning in Sussex. It was dismantled in 1982 and reconstructed at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum in West Sussex in 1999.

It is believed the cottage dates from the mid 16th century and was probably the home of a landless labourer, possibly a craftsman.
