Archive: Retired people housing Milford on Sea Feb 1989

            I presume, but can't definitley remember, that the commissioning of this darwing and the next came about as result of being elected into the Society of Architectural Illustration. It was drawn with the aid of a persective grid for a designer in London, He also did watercolour work but couldn't lay out perspectives of complex views like this one. My drawing was used as the basis for his waterolour views for a brochure to get planning permission and sell units in the retirement homes complex. I hoped at the time it might be the first of many such commissions. Sadly it wsn't, though I did get occasional enquiries from people wanting simialr drawings. I was usaully too busy with my 'day job' though, or already working on intersesting work about historic buildings
