Wray Castle boathouse, Windermere, Cumbria

            The large boathouse at Wray Castle was built in the form of a ruined castle. Our long walk along the western shore of Windermere began here. The footpath would take us the four and a half miles to Claife Station and the car ferry to Bowness.
