Another day as a Viking: Artefacts - a photo on Flickriver

            My wife and I were once again invited to help out on a school trip to Murton Park, just outside York. Our fellow time travellers were from Year Four, 8-9 years old. I sketched some of the items on display during lunch, with a few of the braver children coming up to watch me closely. The items are a Viking period jug, a fabric doll, a piece of woven cloth, a drinking horn, a tallow candle and a candle holder. Drawn with a Staedtler Pigmentliner 0.05 pen in an A6 pocket size Moleskine sketchbook and watercolour.
