Weird driftwood, Diligent River, Nova Scotia, Iscorama anamorphic

            This strange, almost grotesque piece of driftwood was found washed up on the beach about 50 yards north of the old abandoned wharf at Diligent River. Driftwood along the Fundy Shore is found in all sorts of fantastic shapes. Erosion drops cliffside trees onto the beaches where they are carried away by the tide and "sculpted"  (battered) into bizarre shapes by wave action on the rocky shore. 

Nikon D60, Nikkor-H 85mm f/1.8 lens, with an Iscorama Anamorphic lens mounted on the 85mm, and Tiffen Photar 1/2x close up lens (series 9) on the Isco. Both the 85mm and Iscorama were focused at infinity.
