London series - HMS Belfast to Tower Bridge

            Grey was the order of the day, from the water of the River Thames via the ship to the sky. Shortly after this was taken the rain set in again (as part of the European Monsoon, I am told - no more complaints about drought lately).

HMS Belfast is a is a museum ship, originally a Royal Navy light cruiser of the Southampton class (with twelve 6-inch guns as her main armament). She was designed for the protection of trade, for offensive action, and as a powerful support for amphibious operations. Her keel was laid on 10 December 1936. She served in WW2 and in the Korean War.

Commissioned on 5 August 1939.
