Fort William in 1974 - a photo on Flickriver

Fort William in 1974

            The old Fort William station on 3 September 1974, with a Class 24 arriving on passenger stock. I'm not sure if this is a train from Glasgow, or the ecs of a train for Glasgow. The passengers on the platform look as though they are about to board, and the headcode on the 24 looks like "6N42", which could be an ecs code. Any chance of identifying the loco? The scratches on the front look quite distinctive.
