5Z75 at Northampton (1) - a photo on Flickriver

            Class 57 no.57316 pilots Black 5 no.44871 on 5Z75 Carnforth-Southall passing Northampton on 17 November 2021. The steam loco, and the coaching stock, were on their way south for a railtour to be run on Saturday 20 November.

57316 started life as D1992, which was built at Crewe and was new in March 1966. This became 47290 under TOPS and was then selected, in December 2004, for rebuilding as a Class 57. 57316 was named "Fab 1" between December 2004 and December 2008, but is now operated by West Coast trains and is un-named.
