Il Castello di Roncade è uno degli esempi più interessanti, nel Nord Italia, dell’architettura rinascimentale. E’ l’unica villa pre-palladiana cinta da mura medievali sovrastate da maestosi merli. Sorge al centro della città di Roncade, immerso nella campagna veneta tra Treviso e Venezia. Alla fine del 1800 il castello venne acquistato dalla famiglia Ciani Bassetti, che ne detiene ancora la proprietà.
Oggi grazie ad un meraviglioso restauro, il Castello è stato trasformato in una meravigliosa location dedicata all’accoglienza. Sia all’interno delle antiche torri di guardia che in tutto l’edificio, sono disponibili diverse camere tutte finemente arredate.

THE MEDIEVAL WALLS OF THE VILLA

The Roncade Castle is one of the most interesting examples of Renaissance architecture in Northern Italy. It is the only pre-Palladian villa surrounded by medieval walls dominated by majestic battlements. It rises in the center of the city of Roncade, immersed in the Venetian countryside between Treviso and Venice. At the end of the 1800s the castle was bought by the Ciani Bassetti family, who still own it.
Today, thanks to a wonderful restoration, the Castle has been transformed into a wonderful location dedicated to hospitality. Both inside the ancient watchtowers and throughout the building, there are several rooms, all finely furnished.
