IL FONTANONE DI GORIUDA

Il Fontanon di Goriuda è una sorgente che si trova in sinistra orografica della Val Raccolana. Le acque drenate da una complessa rete di canali carsici provenienti dal soprastante massiccio del Canin escono da una grande apertura parzialmente visitabile. Il Fontanone è considerato una delle più importanti risorgive carsiche in regione Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Viene definita “Cascata del Sole” ed è il tratto terminale della imponente cascata d’acqua che fuoriesce dal Fontanon di Goriuda e fa un salto di ben 80 metri. Un semplice sentiero percorribile in cinque minuti, con un dislivello minimo, conduce fino a questa enorme e splendida cascata che appare in tutta la sua selvaggia bellezza, esaltata anche da uno specchio d’acqua limpidissima dove l’acqua precipita con fragore.

THE FONTANONE DI GORIUDA

The Fontanon di Goriuda is a spring located on the left bank of the Raccolana Valley. The waters drained by a complex network of karst channels from the Canin massif above come out of a large opening that can be partially visited. The waterfall is considered one of the most important karst springs in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
It is called the “Cascata del Sole” (Waterfall of the Sun) and is the final stretch of the imposing waterfall that flows out of the Fontanon di Goriuda and drops 80 meters. A simple path that can be covered in five minutes, with a minimal difference in height, leads to this enormous and splendid waterfall that appears in all its wild beauty, also enhanced by a mirror of crystal clear water where the water falls with a roar.
