there's no(nice)room at the inn... - a photo on Flickriver

            Long abandoned general store,bank,roller rink(?),and at times,an inn in Stillwell,IL. Stillwell is easily the most depressed town I have ever visited,more abandoned than alive.My poor wife was accosted by a local while I was walking around-I had to come walking up with a mean look on my face to run the guy off.He turned out to be OK-he told me a little bit about the place and the town.My wife never recovered-we left soon after....

A flickr contact called this area "forgottonia",and I would whole-heartedly agree.It is the closest thing to a ghost town in Illinois I have ever seen....
