Fernand Le Quesne (1856-1932) - The Question Mark (1903) colour print (upscaled)

What's the question? Your guess is as good as, or if I'm to be honest, probably better than, mine.

I previously (August 30, 2015 to be precise) uploaded a poor-quality black and white reproduction of this painting, from an Internet Archive book, here, commenting, "Needless to say, I'd love to find a better version of this image."

Well, imagine my delight when I discovered this colour reproduction online. It's apparently from a series of coloured prints of Le Quesne's paintings, and the colours in the print might not represent accurately those of the original. The colours and contrast were originally very bland, and I've boosted them quite a bit. I also applied 2x upscaling, courtesy Bigjpg AI Image Enlarger, and some judicious smoothing to reduce image noise.

In the absence of a colour photo of the original painting this is probably the best version of this picture we're going to get, and I'm really glad I was able to find it. I hope you are too.
