Resting in a garden - a photo on Flickriver

            Last month, my wife and I took a trip to Prince Edward County on Lake Ontario. We enjoy going there because of the wonderful vineyards, great restaurants, colourful farmers' markets and beautiful shorelines. Normally we camp in PEC but this year decided to stay in Picton in a Victorian era house. There are plenty of interesting buildings from that era in town along with attractive gardens. At our lodging, there was a gazebo with a nice display of perennial flowers surrounding it. One afternoon we sat there and I began this sketch of my wife peacefully resting in a chair. These are the kind of moments that last forever.

Le mois dernier, ma femme et moi sommes allés dans le comté de Prince Edward, au bord du lac Ontario. Nous aimons y aller pour ses magnifiques vignobles, ses excellents restaurants, ses marchés fermiers colorés et ses magnifiques rivages. Nous campons habituellement au comté Prince Edward, mais cette année, nous avons choisi de séjourner à Picton, dans une maison victorienne. La ville regorge de bâtiments intéressants de cette époque, ainsi que de jardins attrayants. À notre hébergement, il y avait un gazebo entouré d'une jolie parterre de fleurs vivaces. Un après-midi, nous nous y sommes assis et j'ai commencé ce croquis de ma femme se reposant paisiblement dans un fauteuil. Ce sont des moments qui durent éternellement.
