The Unexpected Kiss - a photo on Flickriver

            No idea why this happened, but one night under the floodlight of our shop's garage wall, where many different insects always get attracted,  this large adult Bush Katydid was climbing the wall passing many other insects . . . then out of no-where, it stopped right beside this much smaller June bug, then proceeded to kind of grab it and bend over to give it a kiss . . . ok, maybe it was a taste for some reason, but I'll go for the romantic but odd approach it was a kiss!

I tried several times to upload a forever looping animated gif of this event, since the continuous repeating motion looks great . . .  but for some reason Flickr kept having errors stating the file was not a recognizable image format and would not complete, even though I've already successfully uploaded several other similar sized animated gifs created the same way in Photoshop that had no issues at all. Flickr seems to have some upload issues on a monthly weekend basis.

So I created a video of the sequence that can at least be played once . . . to bad I can't get it to auto-replay over and over . . .
