World champion LOTTE KOPECKY sets the Kuipke on fire.
Lotte Kopecky, more than ever the leading lady of Belgian cycling, was received in 't Kuipke as a true demi-goddess. The participating riders in the two-day track competitions for women, with two events on the program on Friday and Saturday, were introduced one by one to a packed Kuipke. When Kopecky's turn came last, Kuipke exploded, close to delirium. As expected, Kopecky won the elimination race. Afterwards she was honored by Mark Cavendish, who has decided to return to the Tour in 2024.
