Hudson River Meeting the Harlem River

            This is the point where the Hudson River and Harlem River intersect.  The Harlem River flows from here to the East River.

The Harlem River, of course, isn't technically a river.  A river is a conduit of water that has its own headwater, like a lake or a spring - not another river - as its source.  The Harlem River is more of a strait.

The side of the Henry Hudson Bridge, which connects the Bronx (to the left) with Manhattan, is visible from this vantage point in New Jersey.  As I understand it, it is the only toll bridge in New York State's controlled-access parkway network.
