El monestir de Moldovita compta amb muralles tot a l'entorn de l'església, i aquesta conserva les pintures del segle XV a tots els murs excepte la part nord. A diferencia d'altres monestirs bucovins, aquí dominen els vermells i marrons.

Orthodox priest in the garden of the monastery of Moldovita.

The monastery of Moldovita, in Bukovina, Romania, was the last of the painted monasteries that we visited. It was less crowded, and, with the cloudy sky, it was easier to take pictures of the paints (without the shadow of the roof over them).

In its paintings, the dominant colour are the reds and browns. This monastery is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
