Disfrutant al Disfrutar / Best restaurant in the World

Aquest octubre de 2024 varem tenir el plaer de poder menjar al que en aquell moment estava situat com a millor restaurant del món segons la llista The World's 50 Best Restaurants. Varem tenir sort, ja que erem un grup nombrós, i la taula estava reservada des de feia un any. Es a dir que en el moment de la reserva encara no tenia aquesta distinció (tot i que ja era el número 2, eh?). Igualment, té tres estrelles Michelin.

Obviament tot el menu que varem triar, amb els seus plats més classics (l'altre era el de novetats per a aquest 2024) és una meravella sensitoria rera l'altra. A nivell del espai fisic he de dir que no guanya pas a El Celler de Can Roca, que obviament es troba en un entorn molt més ampli, lluminós i relaxant. Però es el preu d'estar en ple Eixample de Barcelona...

Entre els plats que varem tastar, destacar "La Gilda del Disfrutar amb verat marinat", "Escavetx de vinagre de bolets, conserva casolana de rovelló i ostra", "La gallina dels ous d'or: ou ferrat de crustacis", i " Pebrots de xocolata, oli i sal".

Afegir que ho vaig finalitzar tot amb una copa de Octomore 12.1, un whisky Islay que volia provar algun dia. Brutal!

This October 2024 we had the pleasure of being able to eat at what at that time was ranked as the best restaurant in the world according to The World's 50 Best Restaurants list. We were lucky, as we were a large group, and the table had been reserved for a year. That is to say that at the time of booking it still did not have this distinction (although it was already number 2). Likewise, it has three Michelin stars.

Obviously the whole menu that we chose, with its most classic dishes (the other was the new one for this 2024) is one sensory wonder after another. In terms of physical space, I must say that it does not beat El Celler de Can Roca, which is obviously in a much wider, bright and relaxing environment. But it's the price of being in the middle of Barcelona's Eixample...

Among the dishes we tasted, we should highlight "La Gilda del Disfrutar with marinated mackerel", "Vinegar pickled mushrooms, home-made preserves of rovellons and oysters", "The hen of the golden eggs: fried crustacean egg", and " Chocolate peppers, oil and salt."

Adding that I finished it all off with a glass of Octomore 12.1, an Islay whiskey I wanted to try one day. Brutal!
