            It has been wonderful to see so many daffodils on this current trip. 

Today, Mum & I visited the Shuttleworth Collection, in Bedfordshire. I have long coveted a visit here and the experience did not disappoint. 

The very reasonable admission price includes access to the home, which we skipped today, the Swiss Gardens and the Forest Walk, and of course the collection of historic aeroplanes, motorcycles, pedal cycles and cars. 

I had visited the Aerodrome once, in the early 90s as an air cadet. It was during a summer air show and my squadron was detailed to provide parking guidance and traffic control. We got to watch parts of the flying program, but did not get to visit the museum or gardens. 

Although the weather was overcast, the Swiss Garden was beautiful and we meandered through it for quite a while, enjoying all it has to offer.  

I’ll definitely be visiting again as it’s less than an hour from Mum’s. Perhaps I can organise to attend an air show in 2023.
