Coming through..... - a photo on Flickriver

            My mother arrived to visit yesterday and was excited to see the Cockatoos, as I have been sending pictures of 'our' flock back recently. The weather has been ghastly recently, but they come and sit on the balustrade nevertheless. 

During a break in the rain this morning, I took the opportunity to take this image. One of the first with my new camera. It seems one of the pair wanted to get closer to the action.

I have taken around 20 images so far and am extremely satisfied with the new set-up. Having been with Fujifilm for a while, it is nice to be back in the Canon stable. Just something about the colours.....

I would have stuck with Fujfilm if there was a cost-effective upgrade path, but they have pruned their range severely and with some recent discounts and a trade-in deal on lenses, it was time to go back to Canon.
