Yemenite Slow Cooked Shabbat Eggs-2 - a photo on Flickriver

The eggs are hard-boiled in the shell. The eggs are placed at the bottom of a stew in a heavy pot over a low heat stove. They cook very slowly all night. The resulting flavor is smoky and delicious. The first time I ate them at the home of dear friends in Israel, the complex taste was a complete surprise.
Heather used my electric slow cooker.
