            Is this really an IR photo? Thermal Infrared Ballet Partners. We re-create infrared camera effects in Picnik.

I actually did NOT use Picnik's IR effect. I cannot get resuts like this using that tool.
 
I used a different effect in Picnik. It's called a heat map. The results reminded me of a false color intensity level separation algorithm that I used to apply to infrared photos back when I was using those cameras in real life... I will try to remember which Picnik effect I used...;))

It looks like cooler items are toward the blue end, and hotter areas are toward the red end. Green is in the middle. Think of the Nemonic name "ROY G. BIV" The letters stand for Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

Picnik's algorithm doesn't seem to go beyond Blue at the cooler end, or beyond a shade of Orange I call Burnt Sienna at the warmer end.
