My most faithful Companion - a photo on Flickriver

            You could say I've been pretty faithful too. 

1992 Honda Civic VX. 
I bought this car in March 1996 with 65K on it. It was a rebuilt crash car that I paid $5,400 for. Probably the best investment I've ever made. Maybe the second best next to a good set of tools and a shop manual. The VX has the Vtec-E engine that turns at low RPM and was developed for economy. It's supposed to get 55MPG highway but 40 is everyday achievable for mixed driving. It's the least common of the Civics from 92-95.

The first question I'm going to get is going to be about the engine. The first one lasted to 428,000 miles. I'm still running on one of the four original wheel bearings, 3 of the original struts and the whole brake system is original minus the front calipers. I don't know if there are any original moving parts after that besides the shifter, steering wheel and pedals (I need to replace the clutch pedal bushing). I did a huge write up on the parts that were replaced over time and the places the car has been as of 400,000 miles. I'll try to find that and update it.
