Kirkby Lonsdale Coaches, Carnforth, YK05CCJ & YK04KWG - Optare Solos

            Seen, on 30/08/2013, at the temporary bus stops on land to the Chapel St. side of Lancaster Bus Station whilst major sewer work is taking place in one half of the bus station, are these two Solos working Lancashire County Council tendered local South Circular services in opposite directions! On the left facing the camera is, YK05CCJ, a M780 model that was new to Metroline(NSM662), in 06/2005, and has since received a Daimler badge whilst YK04KWG, a longer M920 model acquired from Weardale, Frosterley, has an AEC badge. This was new to Burtons, Haverhill, in 06/2004. © Peter Steel 2013.
