Restored: TB2597 - Leyland E IS 5 Fire Appliance

            Built in 1920, this immaculate fire appliance worked out of the Church Fire Station, near Accrington, Lancashire. The chassis was built at the Leyland factory in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, and finished at the Chorley works of Leyland Motors.  is seen here on display at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum, Leyland, on 25/09/2022. More details will be in the following photo from here. This museum is well worth a visit, especially if you haven't been for a while or in fact haven't been before. © Peter Steel 2022.
