Schloss Oberhofen at night - a photo on Flickriver

            *Re-upload - something strange happened the first time around*

As amazing as it is, there are still scenes that don't quite fit to the X-Pan's panoramic ratio. I encountered such a scene when trying to photograph Oberhofen Castle. Now perhaps it might have worked with the 30 mm unicorn lens, but with the 45 mm there was no way that I could have fit the entire castle into the frame. Instead of giving up, I decided to photograph two horizontal images and attempt to combine them later. The upper image required some distortion correction as I had to aim the camera upwards, but with the aid of Lightroom (perspective correction) and Photoshop (alignment and blending) I was able to combine the two frames into a pretty convincing single image.
I'm not totally against digital technology, you see. ;-)

Committed to Fujifilm Superia 100 using a Hasselblad X-Pan and 45 mm lens. Developed using a C41 development kit from Ars-Imago and scanned with an Epson V850 using Silverfast. Positive conversion in Negative Lab Pro. Upper image distortion corrected in Lightroom. Dust cleaning, alignment and blending of the two images in Photoshop.
