The Ghost of Doe Creek Road - a photo on Flickriver

Somewhere in the last remaining undeveloped parcels of land between the Texas boom town sprawls of Frisco and Prosper is a tiny clutch of ancient abandoned cars that time forgot.

The car is a 1947 Buick Super Sedanet. It's a massive two door coupe with a long, aerodynamic 'torpedo' styled back end, where the roof line curves down to the rear bumper. Highly impractical and as heavy as a modern large SUV, the design would foreshadow the personal luxury car era of the 1950's through the late 1970's.
