Cemetery at Oradour-sur-Glane, France

            On 10th June 1944 the Nazis entered the town of Oradour-sur-Glane in France, herded the women and children into the church and then set fire to it. They then assembled and executed the menfolk, then rased the town to the ground. In all, 642 people died that day.  It now stands as a memorial to wartime atrocities.

This entire family of eight people perished that day.
