2010_0116FriCem0083 Broken Lamp

            Old broken streetlight on the footpath bit of the Asylum Arch Road.  Not sure what sort, a couple of these left, the other had no top at all.  Might be an old Phosco but I'm not an expert in these thingies.

New steel lamps have been fitted all along the other side, why these two old iron poles survive, who knows?

This old closed road is now part of the national cycle network, route 20, looking south here towards Horley.  The main railway lines London to Brighton are to the right on an embankment.
