This is day 21 of 30 in my personal challenge to post a photo to Flickr every day in April 2013. See the rest in the 30 Days of Creativity set.

If my 30 Days challenge were a person and days were years, this photo would be old enough to legally drink alcohol. In celebration, I have revisited the set of one of my most popular photos, "Our Darkness Frightens Us." This image was taken during the same setup, but in portrait mode over landscape with my model (Suzanna) being a little more tightly framed in the shot. There is a similar tone of darkness and being surrounded by light, but this is a little more intimate than the other. While "Darkness" conveys being afraid despite being surrounded by the light, I feel as if this image conveys a sense of where the model goes (into the light) when she gets scared of the darkness.

Adjustments of this image are mainly contrast related and white balancing to give the lights a pure white glow. Desaturation of the blue spectrum helped with that while re-saturating the model's clothes and skin tones. Aside from that, not many other changes. It's a shame that I didn't use my 50mm lens with this, which would have allowed me to use a lower ISO setting.
