President Kanda visits the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) facility in Islamabad

ADB President Masato Kanda visited the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) facility in Islamabad. As Pakistan’s largest social protection initiative, BISP provides targeted financial assistance to families in need, aiming to break the cycle of poverty. During his visit, he met with beneficiaries who have been positively impacted by the program. BISP helps children stay in school, improves maternal and child health, and restores hope for many families. Since its inception, ADB has supported the Government of Pakistan in strengthening and expanding BISP and remains committed to building stronger social protection systems and investing in people's potential.
