- a photo on Flickriver

            I'm sitting on the living room couch reading Abbott's Old Paths and Legends of New England on a wet winter night, but someone left a clover bookmark from a summer session in the grass. The hand-written presentation in the front of the book is dated 1928, so this could be the better part of 90 years old. The stain it left on these pages as it dried is faintly visible to either side of the stem.
