M - a photo on Flickriver

            The Neue Nationalgalerie, part of the Berlin Kulturforum and home to the German national collection of 20th Century Art.

Designed by Mies van der Rohe and opened in 1968, the pavilion stands as a bold example of what van der Rohe referred to "skin and bones" architecture, and an effusive demonstration of his more famous design philosophy of "Less is More".

This part of the complex serves as a main entrance hall and primary exhibition space, and although comprising only 20% of the gallery floorspace, it's simple minimalist forms have become recognised as one of the most effective examples of mid-century modern architecture in Berlin.
