Underfall Yard Workshops, Bristol - a photo on Flickriver

            This massive lathe is in the Underfall Yard Workshops and was installed for maintenance of the City Docks.  The workshops were originally powered by a steam engine, but much of the machinery has been modernised with electrical power.  Note the pulleys for the overhead lineshaft, just visible at the top of the photo.
