Soft Dawn - a photo on Flickriver

Soft Dawn

            Win Hill from Bamford Edge taken at dawn with the rising sun lighting the foreground heather with a lurid glow. Whilst everyone who is anyone headed west, I headed east and found no fog, with only an odd fleeting cloud floating by. It was midge-free breezy when I got here 30 minutes before dawn but as the sun rose the wind dropped for a while giving me more bites to go with those of the evening before.

A bit of a depressing trip. A lot of litter, over-trampled paths, and two cars in the roadside carpark with their side windows smashed when I got back to my car (thankfully ok).
