Columbus, OH Lazarus department store

            The Lazarus Department Store was founded in 1851 by Simon Lazarus and by 1950 the store had over 1 million square feet. Lazarus was one of the founding members of the Federated Department Stores Group. In 2004, Federated closed this store and it was adaptively reused into an office building meeting sustainability guidelines and was awarded a LEED Gold Certificate.
