I spent my 70th birthday on May 1st, 2023 (from 8am to 7pm) at the Disney Resort, covering 14 of what we used to call the "E" ticket rides over the span of both the Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. I was going to go with a friend who had to cancel at the last moment, and I walked my feet into a somewhat painful existence after nearly 12 hours, but that's to be expected.

The last time I visited Disneyland was in 2009 (on my birthday no less) and a lot has been changed and built since then.

I wasn't going to bring my camera. I don't like crowds, and moving masses of people aren't that conducive to my HDR photography style. I pared down the amount of lenses I took, and used a smaller camera bag, but I got over 1000 photos throughout the day, which began with a thick cloud cover, but turned glorious later in the afternoon.

Here's my first image from my Photo Expedition and Birthday Celebration at Disneyland.
