Sunset From Above Buda - a photo on Flickriver

I had a few specific "shots" I wanted to get when in Central Europe and this is one of them.

I will admit, because I'm always totally honest about my photography, that I used the "AI Removal Tool" in the current Beta version of Photoshop to totally digitally remove about 30 people from this photo. I'm not kidding, either. I just counted them.

The skies are intact, however, with no digital enhancement except for the initial HDR treatments.

This is the Fisherman's Bastion, next to Matthias Church in the hills above Budapest, on the Buda side of the river Danube. It was a bear to climb all the steps up to the complex, and then I noticed I could have taken the public bus around back as the street looped up around the hill.

Halaszbastya (The Fisherman’s Bastion) is not an ancient castle or fortress but was built between 1895 and 1902 as part of the series of developments that were to celebrate the 1000th birthday of the Hungarian state.

Architect Frigyes Schulek, who also restored and redesigned the Matthias Church intertwined the complex around the church: its historical architectural style was also picked to suit the church redesigned in a later medieval style (Neo-Gothic).
This is one of the most visited sites in all of Budapest.
