Only two weeks till Autumn arrives. I'm always feeling as if time is going so swiftly, yet my trip to Budapest just a year ago seems like it took place in some forgotten forever. I loved the Central Europe train tour, with stops in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest, but didn't really have too much time to explore each in depth, since it was only a 7 day trip! (I'll have much more time to explore Ireland, spending 10 days in the country, split among five different places.)

I've vowed to go back to Budapest, and to tour more of the country of Hungary. It's the country of my father's family. (His immediate family. Only my father and his younger brother, in a family of 13, were born in the U.S.) I also want to explore Germany, the country of my mother's ancestors.

I came back to Liberty Square, which is pretty centrally located in Budapest, a few times over the two days. Autumn was early in Budapest last year, and the leaves were already falling on the path.
