            I photographed Garry for the first Comic Relief (with a lot of other comics). One day years later, I was standing out in front of my house in the Palisades, watering my lawn (before it was a felony) and Garry drives up in his black Range Rover, stops, rolls down the window with his arm up and starts to say something to me when he suddenly realizes that I'm not the guy that he thought I was. He froze there for a second with his mouth wide open and slowly it turned into a smile, and the hand, frozen in air, turned side-to-side like the Queen of England, and without breaking his gaze, the electric window glided closed and then he drove away... it was as funny as anything else I ever saw him do....
