Cold Moon - Wet Sand - a photo on Flickriver

The last full moon of 2020, the "Cold Moon," rises out of the wintry clouds over Cape Cod Bay. The clouds on the horizon blocked the beginning of the moon rise, which would have been HUGE and impressive over the thin spit of land and shallow bay. However, the layers of sunset tinted clouds tossed by whipping winter winds would turn out to make for a very dramatic sky.
