Trams (note plural) running in Princes Street

            I was walking along Princes Street when I heard a familiar bell -- a tram! And I had a ridiculously unsuitable lens on the camera, a manually focusing 135mm! But no time to change lenses, just had to zoom with the feet and do the best I could.

Note the tram stop to the left of the photo (the Princes Street stop at the bottom of the Mound). At the top is the tram arrival time indicator. It says one tram is due, and there it is, seconds away. Then several minutes later another is indicated. Which came. In fact several of them came, and went. Which caused a few optimistic passers-by to start trying to use the ticket machines on the platform. But as the LED arrivals indicator on the platform says, these are empty trams doing test runs.
