Last of the summer sun - a photo on Flickriver

            Looks summery, but this was well into autumn. The green of evergreens and the late turning deciduous leaves of the overhead "Tree of Heaven" still felt summery.

It was a mostly bright cloudy afternoon, with occasional brief blasts of full sunlight. I missed a few by taking too long to compose the shot. The day before in similarIy fitful sunlight I missed the sun completely by deciding to change to a better lens. 

A few days later half of the leaves in this photograph were yellowing, some brown.
