            BNSF 2004, a NRE GP38-2 rebuild, is spliced to another NRE rebuild with a straight-up GP38, as it leads the Noyes Local east in Fisher, MN.

The Noyes Local, also called the Winnipeg Turn, is anything but a "local".  It was a full-length manifest that would interchange with the Canadian National in Noyes, MN.  This train would run almost exclusively with 3 Geeps, which always made it a good catch in the era of wide-cab dominance.  

I don't think the "Noyes Local" runs under that name anymore as, if memory serves, it picked up an M-symbol in the BNSF system a few years after this shot was taken.
