AMTK 175 Lake Park 3 Aug 06 - a photo on Flickriver

AMTK 175 leads a 7-hour late Empire Builder through the curves in Lake Park, MN.

Somehow I managed to drive by the Amtrak stations in Grand Forks, ND and Fargo, ND and all along the Empire Builder's route down the Hillsboro Sub and never saw a hint that this train was in the area. It wasn't until I heard the DS clear it out Main 2 that I had any idea. Besides being able to catch the Builder in daylight, I was able to catch a trio of elephant-style Exec MACs on Main 1 7 minutes before the Builder showed up:
